New this year! Premium sessions at the RCA Conference will provide you with a heightened sensory experience in a small-group setting. Full-conference attendees may sign-up for one premium session. Don’t delay – spots are limited!

  • Capacity: 25 people per session

Japanese Sake Explained and Appreciated: A Guided Sake Tasting

Japanese sake has a broad flavor profile and can be delicious, more than most consumers imagine. Yet surprisingly few make it a top beverage of choice. Not only is sake relevant to Japanese cuisine, it can be enjoyed in places and occasions beyond your local sushi bar. Most are shocked at how interesting good sake can be!

In this interactive taste-testing, five sakes will be served and properly presented, as appreciation begins with tasting for yourself. Sake Master, Gordon Heady, will then explain how sake is brewed and offer suggestions on how to appreciate it, as well as offer a bit of history. Sake exports have doubled in the last ten years and this is a rare chance to explore the world of Japanese sake from one who has actually brewed it.

  2. In the “Already Registered” section, click “View Your Registration Details”
  3. Click “My Options” and “Add Additional Options”
  4. Click “Add” next to the session you want to add
  5. Click “Finish” at the bottom of the form
  6. Click "Pay" to complete and make payment
